Refund Policy – Takeout & Delivery Orders
To ensure fairness to both our customers and our business, please review our refund policy below:

All takeout orders are final once picked up.
Due to the nature of freshly prepared food, we do not offer full refunds for takeout orders based on taste preference or food texture (e.g., noodles softening during transport).
If there is a preparation error (wrong item, missing item, or clear quality issue), please notify us within 24 hours with proof (photo and receipt). In valid cases, we may offer one of the following at management’s discretion:
• A remake
• A store credit discount
• A partial refund
Delivery Orders
Applies for: Uber Eats / DoorDash / Skip / Third-party delivery platforms
Refunds for delivery orders must be requested through the delivery platform where the order was placed.
We are not responsible for issues caused by:
• Delivery delays
• Food temperature changes
• Spillage or handling during transit
For confirmed restaurant errors (wrong or missing items), we will cooperate with the delivery platform to resolve the issue, which may include:
• Item replacement
• Partial refund
• Platform-issued credit
IMPORTANT NOTES
• Ramen and noodle dishes are best enjoyed dine-in. For takeout and delivery, noodles may continue to cook in hot broth, affecting texture.
• Proof of issue (photo/video) and order details may be required for any partial refund or credit discount consideration.
• Refund decisions are made at management’s discretion.

Can I make a reservation online?
Absolutely! You can easily book a table through our reservation page. Select your date, time, and party size, and you’re all set. For parties larger 6, please message us on Facebook, Instagram, or email, or call us at our phone number.
Do you offer vegetarian or vegan options?
Yes, Umami Kid offers a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Ask our wonderful staff for recommendations, and we’ll be happy to help!
Do you accommodate food allergies?
Yes, we take allergies seriously. Please inform us of any specific allergies when placing your order, and we’ll ensure your meal is prepared safely.
Are there gluten-free options?
At the moment, our gluten-free options include Beef Gyudon, Mochi Ice Cream, and Sweet & Spicy Edamame.
For the Beef Gyudon, please inform our servers if you prefer the gluten-free version, as it is normally served with gluten.
We’re continuously working on expanding our menu and plan to introduce more gluten-free options in the future — stay tuned!

Is there parking available at the restaurant?
Unfotunately, due to the location of the ramen bar, we are limited to paid street parking only. Parking is free after 5pm and on weekends! Please refer to Saint John's website for more information about street parking.
